The Switzgable family in Monmouth Junction New Jersey founded Ridge in 1948. Ridge occupies a 50,000 sq. ft. facility, which contains the latest machinery for creating wooden garage doors. You can purchase our garage doors with our hardware or you can purchase the hardware locally. We offer extension or torsion springs. The springs can be purchased separately for replacement on our doors or others. We process lumber to millwork garage doors without finger joints using soft woods such as Douglas Fir, Western and Eastern Cedar, Pine, Cypress. Wood is chosen based on request design and availability. The paneling can be plywood, sliding or edge-glued boards, all materials are chosen for their strength to weight ratio. Replacement sections of our doors and others are a specialty with us.
